Equity and the Water

This proposal works to integrate public access to South Boston’s edges, dynamics of domesticity, and housing affordability.

The project utilizes a series of courtyard typologies that allow for a diverse, flexible unit distribution and a mix of edge adaptations to enable access and recreation.  Neighborhood courtyards contain vibrant communal spaces that are tailored to community services and gathering.  Rocky outcrops and programs along the waterfront combine public space with water fluctuations while maintaining the priority of equitable domesticity along the edge.
